Video Storytelling | Vancouver Family Photographer

Guys, it’s me. I know it’s been really quiet around here but I’ve been busy working on some personal projects this summer – learning DSLR video being one of them. And I have to tell you, I fell hard. I am smitten with video. And while I will always love still photography, video has allowed me to explore a new way of capturing and evoking emotion. With a photo you freeze a moment in time, and if you’re lucky it will make you feel something. It’s the same with video, but you can relive that moment by watching it play through and by hearing the sounds and voices of the people you hold so dear.

At the end of the 4-week workshop I took, I had a family film that I can be proud of and will cherish forever. The toddler waddle, the giggles, the cries, the everyday mess of life, all captured on film and watched almost daily by my two little ones. For this I will always be grateful to Emily of Everyday Films.

And now, I’d love to make one for YOU. How? Well, it’s me hanging out with you for about 2-2.5 hours at your home or joining you on an outing to the playground, coffeeshop, pumpkin patch, etc. Or maybe it’s a combination of both. Whatever it is, we will work together to create a story on film that will be meaningful to you and your family. I will be offering them at a special introductory rate and have select weekdays and limited weekends available from now through November. And if you’re thinking that you need to wait until the living room is decluttered or those last 5 pounds are shed, you are not alone. I felt that way too (and still do) but my kids don’t care what I look like or how many dishes are piled up in the kitchen sink. Remember how fleeting those moments are with little ones and how much they will LOVE seeing you in the frame with them. Get in touch if you’d like more info. Promise I won’t bite. =)
